Yoru is a very kind and empathetic person. She always tries to help people as much as she can. Friendly and easily excited, she doesn't hesitate to make new acquaintances.
However, she can easily get overwhelmed by her emotions and step boundaries without perceiving it. Because of this, she will sometimes refrain herself, not being entirely sure of the social norms to adopt.
ACCESSORIES
MASK
When working on metallurgic products, Yoru needs to protect her face. She designed a model for this use, it is inspired from a horror ambiance she finds aesthetic.

HEARING AIDS
Due to a car accident when she was younger, Yoru has trouble hearing and chronicle tinnitus. They are hidden behind her long blonde hair. Most of the people she knows don’t know about them.
Quirk
Tardigrade !
can use the abilities of a tardigrades on herself and surrounding items.

TARDIGRADE
Formerly tardigrades are micro-animals.
They can enter a cryptobiosis state ; meaning they excrete all water from their body and secrete an antibody preserving their cells and allowing the small creatures to become super-hyper resistant.
Tardigrades can stay this way in almost any environment (including radioactive zones and space) for decades.
熊
bear

虫
insect
Fun Fact
Tardigrades are also known as "water bears" or "moss piglet".

Fun Fact
Tardigrades can survive in space, deep sea and radioactive environments !
WHAT IT DOES
Yoru’s quirk allows her to get the same abilities as a tardigrade. Meaning the young woman can put herself in a cryptobiosis state.
However, this action requires lots of strength. When Fujimori emerges from her « hibernation », she gets very sleepy and feeble.
She can apply her quirk on herself, or any surfaces she touches. As long as she is in contact with the object, the effects keep ongoing. However, as soon as she stops touching it, the effects would slowly decrease (in around 10 minutes) because the antigene’s presence would progressively decrease.
Fun Fact
Water bears are from 0.5mm to 1mm tall.
DRAWBACKS
Abuses of her quirk lead to extreme tiredness. The aftermaths can go to exhaustion, passing out or accidentally putting herself in the state of cryptobiosis.
If she is putting her whole body in this state, she can hardly control the time the cryptobiosis state will last. When she was younger (around 6), she accidentally put herself in this state for 6 months. Since then, she has been nothing but careful when using it on herself.
Fun Fact
Even with such great abilities, tardigrades only live 2.5 years outside of their cryptobiosis state.
Backstory
Her brother and she got into a car accident when she was younger.. Her brother lost a leg, and she lost a bit of her audition.
It truly is a traumatic experience that changed her life.
Since she comes from a wealthy family, her parents could easily afford the leg prosthesis.
The joy on her face brother as he was able to walk again is an image she will never forget. Since then, she has always been interested in the transhumanism world, using machines to help someone with a missing organ or problem with it truly amazes her. However, she finds the regular industry of prosthesis too limited. She is looking for expanding human abilities.
CAR ACCIDENT
At the age of 8, she and her brother (who was the conductor) got into a car accident as he was bringing back home after school.
Her brother lost his right leg and her, a bit of her audition in the accident.
At the time of the accident, she passed out, and only woke up to a horrifying scene. Noises of clashing metal, firefighter and ambulance sirens as well as her agonizing brother, crying her shouting out of pain.
Trapped in her seatbelt, a feeling of hopelessness filled her body. She couldn’t do anything aside from being a witness to the situation.
The scene often repeats itself in her nightmares. Especially at night when she can’t hear anything aside from the ringing in her ears. The accident is the source of her tinnitus.

Yoru never talked about her trauma to anyone outside of her family. She also avoids speaking about the reasons behind her hearing aids, which are hidden behind her long blonde hair.
U.A.

That is where she decided to join U.A.
Heroes endanger their lives every day and have, more than anyone, a higher risk of losing a body part. If she was going to design creative ways to support one's body and expand their abilities, may she help as much people as possible this way.

ANOTHER IDEA
As her years at U.A. passed by, Another idea flourished in her mind.
She found the prosthesis and hero pieces of equipment too expensive. If one desires to get precise devices adapted to their physiognomy, needs, and quirks, they would need to spend money on personal tech.
However, Yoru doesn’t think a newbie in the hero industry should get slowed down because of such problems.
That is why she decided while graduating U.A. to ultimately create her brand with customizable pieces of equipment !
The basics of a hero needs with plenty of choices.
That is the bases of her brand idea so anyone can get for a relatively cheap price compared to the quality obtained ( and without passing by the black market ).
UNIVERSITY
To achieve this new goal, Yoru would, however, need experience and knowledge.
She doesn’t want to create crappy designs and machines as well as she needs to learn /how/ to create a brand.
To that, she entered the University of Tokyo and enrolled in a license ( of 3 years ) with a double major in Business Management/Administration and Support equipment.

BUILDING
During those years, Yoru will look forward to gaining more experience and getting a closer view of what a hero needs.
She currently has a permit to build and sell her creations (in contrary to her high-school years). She will then try to collaborate with pros offering a cheap price for her services since she is doing that for her studies, not to make a living out of it ( yet ).
